The "mascots" of this type of carving, most of which is done using twigs and branches as raw material,
are roosters of all shapes and sizes.  Some are tall and thin.  Others are short and stocky.  But if
you're not interested in carving a rooster, there are quite a few other things you can carve.

SIZES

Roosters of many sizes and shapes are the "mascots" of this type of woodcarving.  Some are extremely small (1/4 inch tall), and others may be 10 or 12 inches tall.  Some are short and stocky, while others are tall and slim.  In any case no two are ever identical.

And there are many other "critters" and projects that can emerge from twigs and branches and other pieces of wood.  Some of them are in the following
photos.

Herons/Egrets are somewhat trickier to carve than roosters.  You have to be very careful doing those long, thin legs and long, curved neck.

Roadrunners -- maybe not the real New Mexico and Arizona type, but at least the kind that goes "Beep, beep," and get chased by a coyote!

These little spiraled trees are whittled from straight, knotless birch branches.
These particular twigs were between 1/8 inch and 3/16 inch in diameter.

Owls are some of my more recent branch carvings.  They are an adaptation of the traditional owls carved from little blocks of wood.  Those below are carved from either maple or birch.

I don't have a catalog as such of my carvings.  However, if anyone is interested in purchasing a piece, the best thing to do is call me and describe what they want, and I can tell them what the price would be.  I'm not set up for credit card purchases, but we can handle it the old fashioned, pay-by-check way.  So far, everything folks have bought that way they've been happy with.
