I used to buy little wreaths for making my rooster tree ornaments. For the past few years I've been making the wreaths too.
How I make the wreaths is explained in BIG BOOK OF WHITTLE FUN.
Because some of the letter openers get sold, the knife display case keeps getting changed. Beside the ones in the various cases there are quite a few others that folks can choose from. Every one is a bit different, and every knife can be custom
woodburned with name(s) and design(s).
Some of my own favorite pieces are the knothole-framed carvings. Each knothole is unique. You can more or less judge the size of the piece by comparing it to the
three and one-half inch Swiss Army knife.
The four below are $45 pieces.

Just started doing branch and twig owls a couple or so years ago. Quite a bit different from the rooster, pheasant, heron, and roadrunner...more like a chip-carving process.
